Lavinia Stamps - December Challenge

Well, how bad am I ??? No blogging done since October.....I just can't believe how fast the time goes, life is just whizzing by 😕

Anyway, just wanted to show a 'classic' Christmas card I made for the new challenge at 

LAVINIA STAMPS

ALL CARD STOCK IS FROM PAPERMILLDIRECT

I only used ONE little 'holly' stamp, HERE and a simple sentiment.

I varied the shades of green ink for the leaves, then added loads of Ranger Stickles for the glittery accents.

I think this is quite a traditional kind of card.

Lavinia Stamps - August Challenge

Hi everyone, well, I can't believe it's almost 5 weeks since I blogged.....where does the time go??

I've just popped on today to say that the August Challenge at 

LAVINIA STAMPS

has started.....the theme this month is 'Hues of Orange & Blue' .....not my fave mix of colours, but hey, it's no problem 😕

I've made a few tags for my DT samples this time, using card stock from

PAPERMILLDIRECT  

(I had a fab weekend up in Kendal at the Papermilldirect buildings, 2 weeks ago, but I'll tell you more about that in another post)

Anyway, here are my samples 😊😊😊

For July, the theme is CREATE A LANDSCAPE

I got a bit mixed up with the theme title, so my samples aren't exactly landscapes, sorry 😃

I love these houses.....I stamped them onto some previously inked card, then fussy-cut.

 The tag was made from a piece of cardstock onto which I'd applied Brusho's.....I used Glossy Accents on the pebbles and bubbles.

Lavinia Stamps - June Challenge

Hi everyone, well I can't believe it's a month since I blogged.....life has been hectic recently. We have quite a big garden which of course, at this time of year needs loads of work. Anyway, I managed to squeeze in a tiny bit of crafting and managed to get a DT sample made for the new challenge at 

LAVINIA STAMPS

The theme for June is 'Hidden Fairy' and as usual there is a fab prize of £40 of products.

This is the sample I've made, I chose to do a shaker card.

I've used all cardstock from PAPERMILLDIRECT ......white hemp and dark violet.

 I've used 3 fairy's in the shaker part....one of them is hidden

 Shake the card to reveal the hidden fairy.

I've used the following stamps :-

Moon Pods

Fairy Buds

Small Pixies.

It's Saturday Again.....Bee Crafty Day!

Hi again, I'm back with another weekend inspiration for BEE CRAFTY .

I have 3 new cards to show, which were featured on the Hochanda show last week.....those BEAUtanical flowers are certainly popular.

All of the new floral stamps are now on the website, along with lots of new products 😀

ALL CARDSTOCK IS FROM PAPERMILLDIRECT

I've used heat-embossing on all cards. The poppy heads on the bottom card have been watercoloured and covered with 'Glossy Accents'

A Negative and a Positive .....

Hi folks, here I am with my usual Saturday post for BEE CRAFTY.

Today I have done something a bit different. Instead of 'pretty, floral' cards, I've used a 'skyline' inkables called Georgia (find it HERE)

The first card uses the inkable as a 'positive' image.

 The second card I used the skyline as a negative image.......you get both inkables in the set for one price 😀

All the word stamps are from Bee Crafty and can be found on the website.

Bee Crafty samples .......

Hi everyone, 😀 back again with my regular post, hoping to give you some weekend inspiration.

The cards I want to show today are the last couple I made for the BEE CRAFTY live show on Hochanda,  from All Pally. ALL the new BEAUtanical stamps are now available on the website.
ALL THE GORGEOUS CARDSTOCK IS FROM PAPERMILLDIRECT

 This beautiful Iris was simply stamped in black and left un-coloured....the colour comes from the sentiment stamp which I've stamped in various shades of Adirondack Inks. I mounted the 'topper' onto a piece of black card, leaving an edge of black showing down one side.

This was a simple card using a Brusho'd background and stamping the poppy in Versamark then heat-embossing in white. It's my favourite sample 💓💓

Hope you get the chance to do some crafting today.....We're off to look after the grandchildren while their mam & dad do a 10 mile 'fun-run' (!) We'll be cheering them on from the pavements, of course.

Bee Crafty - Weekend Inspiration

Hi everyone, HAPPY EASTER!

I'm back with an MDF tag I made for the recent BEE CRAFTY Hochanda show from Ally Pally, last weekend.

All the new BEAUtanical stamps were 'showcased' and they were certainly very popular. I think this is one of the nicest sets I've worked with.

This is a large MDF tag, find it HERE.......

I painted it with black gesso, then stamped the background using Versamark and silver heat-embossing powder, using the DREAM word HERE and one of the Style Wire Borders HERE

I stamped the Iris twice onto white card, heat-embossed in silver then 'fussy-cut'. They were coloured using Derwent watercoloured pencils.

Saturday Inspiration for Bee Crafty and a Reminder........

Hi folks, I'm back with a card made for the BEE CRAFTY show on Hochanda (Saturday 2pm, live from Ally Pally!)

I'll be at Ally Pally too, spending loads no doubt 😏

I've made a few samples, so keep a lookout for them if you get the chance to view the programme.

This card is made using black smooth & white hemp cardstock from

PAPERMILLDIRECT......

........and brand new floral stamps (Poppy) from Bee Crafty.

There was a lot of 'fussy cutting' for this card(yawn!) but I like the effect. All the new floral stamps lend themselves to decoupaging really well.

Back soon with more samples, try not to miss the Hochanda hour with Bev....no doubt it will be very entertaining.

Lavinia Stamps, April Challenge.....

  I've made quite a few samples this time, as some of them I used as Chippenham Workshop ideas, so I'll be back later over the weekend with more pics.

Spring is here.....I think!

Hi folks, Barbara back again with my regular weekend post using BEE CRAFTY stamps & products.

Because it's Spring, (or supposed to be) I've done butterflies....again! (I saw some in my garden last week) And, not only one card for you this weekend but TWO......how good am I? LOL

Anyway, both cards were made using the same design and stamp, but because I've used different colours, they look totally different!

Black embossing powder and 'watercoloured' with Adirondack inks. I've covered each butterfly with Glossy Accents to make them shine, and added a few sequins.

The cardstock is white 'hemp' from PAPERMILLDIRECT which I love because of the texture.

This card has the butterflies embossed in gold, then mounted onto gold mirri-card. Again, it has been 'watercoloured with inks.

So, two totally different colour schemes, which do you like best??

A Rainbow of Feathers

Morning everyone, I'm back with my usual Saturday post for BEE CRAFTY......did you miss me last week? I was still on holiday, but it's the very first weekend I've missed blogging in over a year of being on the Bee Crafty DT, so I didn't think anyone would mind  ;-)

Anyway, I'm here today with a card using the feather stamps from 

HERE

ALL THE GORGEOUS CARDSTOCK IS FROM PAPERMILLDIRECT

I stamped in Versamark and heat-embossed with white ep, then simply inked around the image with various colours of Adirondacks.

A sentiment and a few jewels and I was done.  ( less is more, as they say ) 

Lots of matting & layering onto the same colours of cardstock, enabled me to turn this into an 8" x 8" card, for more impact.

'Bubbles Background' stamp from IndigoBlu

Hi folks ...just a quick blog to show a couple of card made with the brilliant 'Bubbles Background' stamp from IndigoBlu......so versatile, I love it!

All card stock is from 

PAPERMILLDIRECT 

including the fabulous yellow 'COLOURFLUTE'  on the rocket card.

 This card only uses the bubble stamp on a background of Brushos, with a smalll sentiment.....

 This one uses a 'rocket set' of stamps from Clearly Besotted, with the bubbles acting as planets.

Again, Brushos background.

Bee Crafty - Weekend Post

Hi everyone, I'm here again with my regular weekend post for BEE CRAFTY....this one has been scheduled, as I'm on holiday in the French Alps at the moment.

It's a very simple technique of masking & stamping, the whole card only took 10 minutes.

Mask off the bottom half of a piece of white cardstock.... I've used 'Hemp' from 

PAPERMILLDIRECT 

as I love the texture.

Stamp the BEAUtanical images (find them HERE ) in various coloured inks, then do the same for the bottom half.

Stamp & heat emboss a sentiment onto a strip of black card and adhere to the centre.

Smother with Ranger 'Stickles

Mat onto black then white card and voila! finished .......

Chippenham Workshop 25th Feb '17

Hi folks, here are the first pics from my Chippenham Workshop on 25th Feb. 

The ladies produced some gorgeous work and there will be lots more pics to follow over the next day or two. 

We missed a few of our regulars, as I had to bring the March Workshop forward a week, due to a family holiday. 

Next workshop is April 1st, but it's almost full, so if you want to attend please let me know asap xx
